Herring salad with beets and mushrooms

For this recipe you will need:
1 slightly salted herring
5 eggs
150 g prunes
2 medium beets
1 small onion
400 g button mushrooms

1. Wash and slice mushrooms into medium slices.

2. Finely chop the onion

3. Sauté the onions with the mushrooms until tender.

4. Boil the eggs then grate coarsely.

5. Boil the beets. Grate one of them. Cut the second beet into semicircles and leave for decorating salad.

6. Fillet the herring, remove the bones, and dice the fillets.

7. Finely chop the prunes.

8. Layer the salad ingredients in the following order, coating each layer with mayonnaise:

herring - mushrooms and onions – eggs – prunes – grated beet

9. Decorate the salad with the semicircles of boiled beet.
