For this recipe you will need:

1 egg for brushing
|
1 chicken
|
5 potatoes, peeled and diced
|
3 carrots, peeled and sliced
|
3 onions, peeled and chopped
|
½ L chicken broth
|
5 bay leaves
|
10 allspice berries
|
150 g hard cheese, grated
|
salt to taste
|
vegetable oil for frying
|
500 g yeast dough
|

Preparation:
1. Cut chicken into pieces, fry and put in ceramic stew pots.
2. Add the potatoes, bay leaves, salt and pepper to the pots.
3. Fry chopped onions in oil, add to the pots.
4. Put sliced carrots in pots, sprinkle with grated cheese and pour the hot broth.

5. Divide the dough into 5 pieces and roll into round, flat cakes.
6. Brush the edges of the pots with beaten egg.
7. Close pots with flat cakes, tightly pressing the flat cakes to the pot edges.

8. Stew chicken under the bread lids for 30 minutes in a preheated oven at 180 °C (360 °F).
