Jar-baked chicken with potatoes and mushrooms

For this recipe you will need:
1 chicken
½ cup mayonnaise
4 potatoes, peeled and cut into large chunks
2 onions, peeled and cut into half rings
1 carrot, peeled and cut into slices
1 garlic bulb, peeled and disassembled into cloves
2 cups sliced mushrooms
3 bay leaves
6 allspice berries
1 tsp salt
½ tsp ground black pepper
mayonnaise and ketchup for serving

Preparation

1. Cut the chicken into large chunks and put in the pot.

2. Add all other ingredients and mix thoroughly.

3. Put the ingredients in a 3 L glass jar and leave for 30 minutes.

4. Preheat the oven to 70 °C (160 °F).

5. Put the jar in a baking pan, cover with a lid and place onto the rack in the bottom of the oven.

6. After 20 minutes, raise the heat to 200 °C (390 °F). Bake for about 2 hours.

7. Lay jar contents in portions and serve hot with ketchup and mayonnaise.
