Savory Cabbage Cake Recipe

For this recipe you will need:
1 head of white cabbage (800 - 900 g)
1 tsp. salt
Vegetable oil for frying

3 eggs
½ liter of kefir
1/3 tsp. soda
salt and sugar to taste
½ cup flour
* * * * * STUFFING INGREDIENTS:
3 large onions
3 large carrots
300 g mayonnaise
2-3 cloves of garlic

Preparation:

1. Disassemble the cabbage head into leaves.

2. Boil the leaves in salted water for 5 minutes.

3. Dry the leaves; cut off hard ribs.

Prepare the batter:

4. Whip the eggs.

5. Soak baking soda in kefir.

6. Mix the whipped eggs, kefir, salt, and sugar.

7. While stirring, add some flour until the consistency is thick, like sour cream.

8. Dip each cabbage leaf in batter, fry on both sides in vegetable oil until crust is golden brown.

Prepare the stuffing:

9. Peel and chop the onions.

10. Peel and grate the carrots.

11. Peel and crush the garlic.

12. Brown the vegetables in vegetable oil for 5 minutes.

13. Mix the vegetables with mayonnaise until the mixture is smooth.


14. Stack the cabbage leaves on a flat dish, graciously coating each leaf with stuffing.

15. Cover the cake sides with stuffing; form into a half-sphere and serve.

Note: You can make any stuffing to your taste, for example:

- Grated cheese with garlic and mayonnaise

- Any paté

- Sour cream with nuts

- Chopped, cooked meat with garlic, mayonnaise and greens
