Baked Stuffed Carp Recipes

For this recipe you will need:
2 small carps (500 - 700 g)
2 carrots
5 onions
1 tbsp.salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp. medium hot paprika
1 lemon, sliced
Vegetable oil for greasing and frying

Baked Stuffed Carp recipe 

Preparation:

1. Scale and gut the carp, wash thoroughly under running water.

2. Rub the carp with salt and peppers.

3. Make small crosscuts on each fish.

4. Put lemon slices in the cuts and leave the fish for 40 minutes.

5. Peel the onions and wash in cold water.

6. Cut half the onions into rings; cut the other half into small cubes.

7. Peel, wash, and grate the carrots.

8. Fry the carrots with the onion cubes in vegetable oil until the onion is lightly brown.

9. Put half of the onion rings on the foil and sprinkle them with vegetable oil.

10. Stuff the carp with the fried vegetables and place atop the onion pillow.

11. Place the remaining onion atop and wrap the fish tightly in foil.

12. Bake the fish in a 180ºC preheated oven for 30 - 40 minutes.

13. Unwrap the foil; continue baking the fish until browned.

14. Serve garnished with mashed potatoes or boiled rice.

In this recipe, carp is baked in sour cream sauce, while stuffing ingredients used are onion, lemon and parsley.

Preparation:

1. Scale, gut and wash the carps.

2. Sprinkle carps with salt and ground black pepper inside and outside.

3. Stuff carps with slices of lemon, parsley and onion half-rings.

4. Prepare the sauce for two carps, by mixing 2 cups sour cream with ½ cup mayonnaise.

5. Baste generously the outside of the carps with sauce and bake in the oven for an hour at 200 °C (390 °F).

6. Serve sour cream baked stuffed carps hot with fresh greens.
