Squid stir-fried with onions

Defrost & clean squids; boil in salted water for 1 - 2 minutes.
Remove squids from water, cool and shred into stripes.
Roll shredded squids in flour.
Peel and chop onion; fry in butter for 3 - 4 minutes.
Add breaded squids to the fried onion and brown lightly over high heat.
If desired, cover fried squids with cream or sour cream and stew for 1 minute.
Serve garnished with mashed potatoes.

Deep Fried Squid Rings Recipe

1.    Cut the clean squid body sacks into 1-cm wide rings.
2.    Mix all the dry ingredients (bread crumbs, flour and spices) in a bowl.
3.    Whisk milk and eggs in another bowl.
4.    Heat the deep fryer with oil at 190°C (375°F).
5.    Dip the squid rings one at a time into the liquid mixture, then transfer to the crumbs bowl and toss to coat the rings with the dry mixture completely.
6.    Fry the coated rings for about 50 sec. or until they turn brown;  take them out and drain.
7.    Serve them warm.
