Curd Stuffed Shortcrust Pie Recipe

For this recipe you will need:
* * * * * FOR DOUGH:
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
200 g margarine, grated
2 tbsp. cocoa powder
1 tsp. soaked soda
flour to add for density
* * * * * FOR STUFFING:
400 g curd, perhaps more
2-3 eggs
1 tbsp. starch
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp. poppy seeds

1. Knead dough until stiff.

2. Divide the dough into two parts, one larger than the other.

3. Put the smaller lump of dough in the freezer for 15 minutes.

4. Press the bigger lump of dough into the pie pan.

5. Mix the curd, eggs, starch, and sugar until smooth.
Spread the mixture on top of dough in the pie pan.

6. Remove the dough from the freezer and grate over the filling.

7. Sprinkle with poppy seeds.

8. Bake in the oven at 160 0C (320 0F)   for about 1 hour.
